Tim is currently the Operations Manager of Cumulus Radio/Battle Creek, and Program Director of WBCK-FM. He is heard on "The WBCK Morning Show" doing sports and "Collins' Corner". Tim also does voices on various commercials.
Tim plays the trumpet, flugelhorn, and is occasionally caught "scat-singing" "The Kalamazoo Motor Express Big Band", "The Gull Lake Jazz Orchestra" and "The Otsego Jazz Ensemble." Tim is sometimes seen on stage as an actor in Civic Theater productions, and serves on the Franke Center for the Arts board of directors.
Tim and his wife Debbie live southwest of Battle Creek, in the Greater West Leroy Metropolitan Area, with their dogs "Scruffy", "Race", "Mugsie" and "Daisy Mae" and three cats: The wiley old big cat Oscar, and brothers Earl and Lennie.

Twas long ago, and far away, it twas. Twas (to use the word again cause' I like it) July of 1974, the 24th to be exact, when your writer embarked on a career in radio at Keener 14. Ah, how I can still hear my Papa; "yous shoulda loint a trade." Oh, Papa. You were so wise. But would I listen? Of course not. From Keener I headed south to WBCK. But then, I left. Then I came back. Then I left again. Then I came back again. Rather like a bad virus, huh? In between times I picked up a couple of expensive degrees from KCC and WMU, but I'm still doin' the same job as 35 years ago. Go figure. Well, now we're three plus years into the morning gig, and unless they change the locks tomorrow morning, I'm here until rigor mortis sets in. All attempts at humor aside (as is the case most mornings) I am very proud to host the WBCK Morning show with Tim Collins, Karen Reeves and Dennis Hodges. I have a bunch of cool kids and grandkids, and if I can help them avoid some of my life mistakes, I'd die happy. Daddy's fun comes in the form of photography and working on our home and garden, which is complete with a pond filled with fish, frogs and a couple of mallard ducks that call the pond their home. The beautiful Teresa and I were married not once but twice in July 2010. Remind us to tell you the story some time. Thank you for listening, and helping make our effort the fastest growing radio program in the entire tri-state area.

Dennis Hodges was born and raised in Wyoming Michigan, a suburb of Grand Rapids. He was a weather observer in the Air Force from 1970-74 and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1978 with a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences. Dennis was with WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids from 1979-1993, and has been with the Battle Creek Radio stations since '93. Dennis and his wife Jan have been married for 37 years, and have two daughters: Jenny and Jill. So far, Dennis has two grandsons: Braden and Keegan. When Dennis isn't doing the heavy lifting with weather prognostication, he keeps busy with weightlifting, and as a track and field official. He's also a real music buff, especially with the golden oldies of the 50's and 60's.

"Renk" as he was called on the football field many years ago, is relatively new to radio. It's always been his dream to do talk radio. After Program Director Tim Collins heard him calling in on the WBCK "Hotline" show, "Renk" got an opportunity to fill in, and eventually take over the show. If you like a host who is fair, passionate, and hard-working---not to mention entertaining---you'll love "Renk". Check him out weekdays at 9.

Nathan has been with Battle Creek Radio since August of 2000, where he began as an intern while learning the trade at Kellogg Community College. Nate planned to go to other places to study meteorology (and take Dennis Hodges job), but he stayed put and made radio his full time gig. Growing up in the Cereal City for a majority of his life, he graduated from Gull Lake High School before earning three Associates Degrees from KCC.
Nathan has been known as "The Sports Guy" around the station, because his knowledge of anything in the wide world of sports would be talked about sometime during the day.
Outside of the station, Nathan enjoys playing any sport possible, and dabble in the studio with music. He also does play-by-play for the local cable access outlet, and is currently the Public Address Announcer for Western Michigan University Hockey. After all is said and done, he spends the rest of his time with his son, Austin.
You can hear Nathan on the High School Scoreboard Friday nights and Saturday mornings. You can also hear him during your weekday afternoons with the Local Sports Update and Traffic Reports and from 10am to 3pm on Sundays on Mix 104.9!

Robert (Good To His Mother) Nelson, the kind of young chap that fathers hope and pray their daughters will bring home and introduce as the "new boyfriend", was born and raised in Battle Creek. He attended Battle Creek Public Schools and earned his diploma at Operation GRAD. Robert continued his education at KCC and CMU. His work at WBCK includes service as Assistant News Director and Chief Operator. Robert is also the chap responsible for all of the technical voodoo that happens around here. As an unintended side effect of this gift, Robert is beset with endless requests for review and repair from those of us technically ignorant, who have managed to break their stuff.

Home-grown in Southwest Michigan, Brandon grew up near Kalamazoo, graduating from Parchment High School in 1998. He's been "in the biz" for over a decade and has worked in several West Michigan markets. Currently, he lives in Kalamazoo with his wife Lacy and two spunktacular cats, Brutus and Stanley. Brandon enjoys history, sports, music, astronomy, traveling, and disc golfing. On nights, when hunny isn't around, he plays video games all night until he is exhausted and kicks back listening to tunes on youtube.
Brandon began his radio career in 1999 at WKZO in Kalamazoo as a sports producer. His first on air show was late night weekends on sister station 106.5. In 2002, he made his first appearance at WBCK and also hosted on WBXX. In 2004, he went to Grand Rapids doing traffic and news reports for several West Michigan stations. That led to his first weekday radio show as a Top 40 afternoon host in Muskegon.
In late 2004, Brandon returned to Kalamazoo as a teacher's assistant and music director for Kalamazoo Public Schools now defunct EFE Radio Broadcasting classes. In 2005, Brandon took on television behind the scenes as camera operator and studio floor director for WWMT Channel 3. In fall of 2008, he returned to radio and still hosts live weekend afternoon shows on 103.3 WKFR. A short time later, he returned as a news writer/reporter for WBCK.
Brandon enjoys working in Battle Creek again and to be a part of the proud tradition of WBCK.

Tony is a WMU grad and went to Marshall High School. He holds down the fort on WBCK on Sunday mornings and early afternoons, bringing you news, weather, and sports. He's also known for some jingles and special bits that he occasionally does for WBCK. From time to time, Tony will help out Renk with some of his song tweaking projects as well.
Alex currently resides in his hometown, Battle Creek. He graduated from Battle Creek Central in 2000, moved on to Kellogg Community College, and eventually ended up at Michigan State University. He and his wife Linda now make their home in Barry County.
